Version 1. These apply when you book a table, join a queue or waiting list, join a group booking or write a review through TableFai.

1. What TableFai is

TableFai is a booking service run by Tizfai Technologies AB, company registration number 559284-7379 ("TableFai"). Restaurants use TableFai to take bookings. Your booking is an agreement between you and the restaurant; TableFai passes it on. The restaurant is responsible for the food, the service, the table and its own terms.

2. Booking

  1. When you book, you give your name, your e-mail address and, if you like, your mobile number, and choose the date, time, number of guests and, where the restaurant offers it, an area, a type of table or a table.
  2. A chosen table is held for you for at most 10 minutes while you fill in your details (longer while you pay). The restaurant may need to move you to an equivalent table.
  3. You receive a confirmation by e-mail with a link where you can see, change and cancel the booking. Some restaurants confirm a request afterwards.
  4. The details you give must be correct. Whoever books for a party is responsible for the details about the party being right.

3. The restaurant's terms, fees and payment

Before you book, the restaurant's terms are shown: how long before the visit you can cancel free of charge, how long the restaurant waits if you are late, and whether a fee is charged for a no-show or a late cancellation, a deposit or prepayment. The terms apply to your booking and are kept with it.

  • Card guarantee: your card is saved with Stripe. Nothing is charged when you book. If you do not come, or cancel too late, the restaurant may charge the fee stated before the booking. You receive a receipt and may dispute it with the restaurant.
  • Deposit and prepayment: the amount is charged when you book and refunded if you cancel in time or if the restaurant cancels.
  • Payments go directly to the restaurant through Stripe. TableFai charges you nothing. Card numbers are handled only by Stripe.

4. Changing and cancelling

You change and cancel through the link in the confirmation or your guest account, as far as the restaurant's terms allow. You can also tell the restaurant that you are running late. Contact the restaurant directly if something cannot be done online.

5. Queue, waiting list and group booking

  • Queue (QR): you join the restaurant's queue on site and are told when your table is ready.
  • Waiting list: when no table is free you can join a waiting list. If a table becomes free it is offered to you for a limited time; you are not booked until you accept.
  • Book together (group booking): whoever books can share a link with friends. Friends give their first name and any dietary preferences and may pay their share of a deposit. The organiser sees only the friends' first names.

6. Verification with BankID

Some restaurants ask larger parties to verify with BankID. The verification is done through Tizfai Identity. TableFai keeps your name and a pseudonym, never your personal identity number.

7. Guest account

You can create a guest account with a one-time code sent to your e-mail. In the account you see your bookings, save preferences and can export or erase your data.

8. Reviews

After a finished visit you may be asked for a review. A review must be honest and about your own visit. It may not contain offensive, unlawful or misleading content or other people's personal data. It is shown with your first name and the initial of your last name. The restaurant may reply and report reviews; TableFai may hide or remove reviews that break these rules.

9. Liability

TableFai is responsible for the booking service working with reasonable care, but not for the restaurant's performance or for a restaurant cancelling. Complaints about the visit go to the restaurant. In a dispute about a service you bought, you as a consumer may turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (arn.se).

10. Personal data and cookies

How your personal data is processed is described in TableFai's privacy policy. TableFai uses no tracking cookies; see the cookie statement.

11. Changes and governing law

TableFai may change these terms. The version in force when you booked applies to that booking. Swedish law applies. Your rights as a consumer under mandatory law are not affected.
